Capabilities
With over 20 years of testing experience, CAFEE engineers have quantified emissions from the full range of engines: from small half-horsepower equipment to high-horsepower locomotive engines and all points in between. Our past programs have covered a broad spectrum of emissions testing: heavy-duty on-highway, non-road applications, spark-ignited engines, locomotive, marine, and alternatively fueled engines. Capable of testing in conformance with applicable EPA, CARB, EURO and other requirements, we pride ourselves on delivering accurate emissions results from nearly any combustion source.
We maintain a full-time staff of engineers and technicians dedicated to testing, so we can provide the best service along timelines that work for you. Among the many services we offer to our clients are:
Emissions Certification
- Heavy-duty engine certification via 40 CFR Part 1065 compliant test cells
- Light-duty vehicle certification testing via chassis dynamometer
- Small-engine certification
- Deterioration factor determination
- Aftermarket component registration
- Chassis testing of heavy-duty vehicles up to 80,000 pounds, light duty vehicles up to 14,000 pounds
- Certification assistance – we maintain a good relationship with both the Federal and California regulators and can assist with the certification process.
